Already our ancestors and their sons were wise cattle farmers and they bred especially the autochthonous Sardinian breed. This one is mainly made up of wild and strong swines which wandered freely in our mountains’ woods. During the graze, animals fed on acorns, India figs, roots and Mediterranean berries. Thanks to the healthy feed, their meat was very tasty and dark red coloured.
